Montauk Point

The love the scenery at Montauk Point. It is a great place to take pictures. The Atlantic Ocean and the beaches make for great pictures. Of course the lighthouse is the main attraction.

I added the special effects to some of the pictures.
Some of them are in antique. Others I did in black and white. The black and white pictures are smoother looking then the antique ones.

Other special effects are also added on some: Film grain, Sepia, and Soft.

I will have more pictures in summer of 2008 which will be digital.

The Montauk Lighthouse is at the eastern tip of Long Island. I usually go in the summertime. Weekends in the summer have the biggest crowds.

They have a place there where you can get something to eat which I always stop in. You can also go in the museum which is full of history about Montauk and Long Island. They also have a gift shop which sells everything lighthouse related.

You can also climb the lighthouse and go up the 137 steps. I did it only one time and it is very high up. I don't yet have any pictures from up top.

How do you get there?

From New York City
Go East on I-495 to Exit 70
South on Route 111 to Route 27
East on Route 27 until you get to Montauk Point.
